CRUSH Kitchen: Crock Pot Elk or Venison Roast

Crock Pot Elk or Venison Roast
3-4# Elk or Venison Roast 
2 Tlbs Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper
1 envelope dry Ranch dressing
1 envelope dry Onion soup mix
1/2 cup butter
Put olive oil in skillet. Salt & pepper both sides of roast. On high heat brown/sear all sides of roast.
Once browned place in crock pot and add ranch dressing, onion soup mix and butter.
Cover and cook on low 6-7 hours.
Remove roast and let rest while you make gravy out of juice from crock pot.
Serve with mashed potatoes.
In the photo I served it with homemade buns, frozen corn from the garden and broccoli.
