Let me just start by saying Oct 7th turned out to be an amazing day for Mr Lee Lakosky, but the story starts long before that day (or I should say evening). Years ago, Lee & I saw a buck we decided to name "Mr. Gnarles Barkley". I could try to explain this nic-name and the fact we knew right away this deer had "hall of fame" potential, but the pictures say it all. We were following Gnarles with the Cuddeback, and had scored two sets of Gnarl's sheds.

On Oct 3rd, Lee & I were out scouting our food plots and we spotted Gnarles Barkley eating. What Lee had learned about Gnarles these past few years is that he was timid, a loner, and didn't like being around other deer.

Gnarls, the loner.
On Oct 4 Lee & I went in to hunt him and saw him at 35 yards but he stayed on the edge of the wood lot and never entered the field. On Oct 5th Gary LeVox (Rascal Flatts) rolls into town and shoots the biggest buck of his life!

After Gary's BBD, the next day comes and goes, with a few good bucks in sight but no shots are taken. On Oct 7th Lee & cameraman Big George sneak into the Ameristep blind to hunt over the Antler King plot hoping to catch a glimpse of Mr Gnarles Barkley. In walks a big 3 1/2 year old "Big Brow Ten" and shortly after Gnarles walks in! Lee let his arrow fly at 47 yards and double lunged him. Gnarles ran 80 yards before dropping.

This buck is an 8 point with a 14 inch spread & its score ties Lee's biggest buck that he ever shot at 196 7/8 inches.

Lee felt blessed to have his great friend Gary LeVox in town to celebrate. They both had a lot to celebrate!

Lee was hunting over an Antler King food plot. Oh what a night! What a week!

Ok, it's seriously my turn!
Peace, Love & Venison
